There are a number of eating trends out there today that you can choose to follow in order to improve your life. Whether it be cutting all meat out of your diet, or cutting all animal products out completely. As an enthusiastic meat eater, I am not ready to give up my steak, thick cut bacon, or my morning scrambled eggs for that matter. But on the recommendation of a stylist I work for I decided to read up on the Raw food diet.
Eating Raw actually made sense to me. The basis of this way of eating focuses on eating fruits, veggies, nuts and what else in it's raw state. Therefore making it easier for your body to digest and without leaving extra waste (or weight) in your body. Now don't become alarmed, I will fight to the death to eat my prosciutto and fresh buffalo's milk mozzarella! The beauty of this way of eating is you can substitute a few meals a night to eating raw and still see the benefits.
So tonight we tried out a few raw dishes: vegetable "noodles" with sesame tahini sauce and bean sprout salad. It was delicious!
